About Anacia Sessoms

 Anacia Sessoms is a Sustainable Artist, Fashion Designer, and Eco-Creatrix whose work transforms the discarded into the divine. With a previous study at  Montclair State University with a B.A. in Visual Arts, she is the founder and designer of Enchantment of Gardens, a sustainable art and fashion brand that reimagines textile waste as storytelling, healing, and wearable art.Through upcycling, handcraft, and material experimentation, Sessoms gives new life to fabrics, objects, and found materials that would otherwise be thrown away. Her work bridges art and fashion, using hand sewing, sculptural techniques, and sustainable design to explore the balance between nature, ancestral spirituality, and human connectivity.. Each piece functions as a living archive, symbolizing an act of environmental care and ancestral remembrance as she merges couture craftsmanship with eco-conscious innovation.

 Rooted in her Afro-Indigenous Cherokee and Caribbean heritage, Sessoms approaches sustainability as both a creative and cultural practice. Her wearable sculptures and imaginative worlds using fabric installations channel Indigenous and Black traditions of storytelling, migration, and cultural blending within the community. Each garment, sculpture, and installation becomes a space for meditation and empowerment  redefining what sustainable luxury looks like through storytelling, reclamation, color, and texture. Anacia’s practice extends beyond exhibitions and runways into creating textiles and found objects that exist as both art and ecosystem.

 Anacia has showcased her sculptures with Global Citizens, as well as interned with companies including the Montclair Art Museum and DOORS NYC.​ She is also a teacher at the Vogue College of Fashion: Vogue Summer School Program in NYC. Anacia continues to create a safe and creative work environment, as well as providing innovation and joy in her communities.
