As a chosen Fashion Designer for the Fashion Disruptors Avant Garde Competition of Harlem Fashion Week in September, 2024, I created one garment for this competition. The garment is 100% upcycled and handcrafted by me, using gold and charms to highlight many aspects of black culture, such as Africa's fertile landscape, the adornment of black hair and womanhood, chain culture, and freeing our identity from the chains of slavery and suppressed African roots and black expression.
I also made the dress I wore as a designer for this event.
